The stripes and dots challenge at Scrapbook Stamp Society.

This weeks challenge is to create a card using stripes and dots on the project using an image from Karen, the image is found here 

I used a layout my friend Janet shared with us at stamping group on Friday, it seemed to fit really well with the theme.

This is my DT card for TIOT challenge this week.

Really excited this week as I got to use a Dilly Bean digital stamp for the challenge.

Dilly Bean is sponsoring us the month you will find her website here do go and look.

Here is my card using one of the digital owl stamps.

The card is a stepper card, I used a technique Janet C (creator with others of TIOT) showed us at stamping group on Friday.  It is the patchwork design which is then embossed with a Swiss dots folder.

The image has been coloured with pro markers and fussy cut and layered.

My DT card for SSS today

Hi  Everyone

Hope you are all okay, the weather in the UK is awful, think we had summer the other week end.

Here is my card

I used this digital stamp found here

The card is a 6 by 6 inches in size and I have used a studio designer paper.  I cut two corner sections of the paper and joined them together with a brown piece of card with a ribbon bow and used a lace edge punch for decoration.

The image is coloured in promarkers and her hair ornaments have been glittered, she is such a cute image.

A little late posting Feminine and Fancy

Planned for this to post this morning, but for some reason my time setting was set for Pacific time as I live in the UK that was a little odd.

This post is a little short sorry.

The little tin was originally a travel sweet one.  I made it recently at stamping club with the lovely Janet who started TIOT, so the inspiration is from her.

It was a really fun project to do.

Up cycling our challenge on TIOT this week

I was a little stumped this week and then remembered the lovely book about book recycling that Dee bought me for Mothers day.  I have been meaning to sort some readers digest books for a while to use, a little difficult as my late husband had bought them for me.  One was in a real state of dis-repair so I used that one, to create my projects and I still have half a book and cover plus some lovely pictures from the book.  My only extras were some distressed ink and some scrap card from the throw out box.  Thank you to Debbie for the crumpling, distressing and inking.

 These are tags made from one page from the book and then crumpled etc

 These are flowers folded in the kusudama style using papers cut into squares of various sizes.

The folded book could be used as storage for business cards or letters, I put tags in using scraps of left-over pages.  Almost a truly re cycled project.  Thank you foor looking.  Hugs Bee

DT project for SSS

Hopefully this will post on the right day?

This little project was lifted from Wednesday Splitcoaststampers  tutorial found here .   I used papers to cover the holder instead of stamped images, they are from our stash I have a feeling they are Do-crafts ones.  The image is found here she is a really cute beastie image.

 I used the image to make a selection of note cards for the inside.

 This is the back, anything needs to be laid flat as it is 
is going in a purse.

A kiss card for my DT offering for SSS

This is a little late  I have mixed up my 15th and 16th again oh dear brain must engage.

This is a 5 by 5 card with two layers on the top one containing the image which is found here 

I have coloured the image with china blue, pearl blue and pear green, the edge of the image is coloured with pale blue, all pro-marker colours.

Something with a heart on. My DT offering for the TIOT challenge

I was inspired when I saw the freebie image on the Mo Manning site, it's not a freebie any more but will be found here, I love her images, I coloured it with promarkers to match the papers.

This is a box card using papers from a Papermania set and a magazine freebie.  You can find lots of instructions for these type of card on the web.

This is my DT offering for SSS a little late

Hi everyone

I am having a mojo lost session and really struggling for any motivation or ideas.  

So I decided to use a basic formula, one image coloured with skin tones and just three other colours, I used this formula on four images.

I used a 13 cm card which I covered  with a 12 cm piece of paper that matched the image, I then mounted the image on another piece of card.  I then added a little variation using height and three pearls or card candy.

i must apologies for the colouring,  I cannot find my proper paper, so they is a slight run of colour, and the pictures are not brilliant, but maybe it will help my majo return.

My DT offering for TIOT Faux stitching challenge

Hi Everyone

I have not been posting projects for TIOT for a few weeks, my excuse is I have had health issues. Hopefully I will able to post more regularly now.

The stitching is faux and obviously the faux sewing machine is not able to stitch straight, the bear is a me to you one with stitching on it.

A star book for my DT day on SSS

This is a long post as I wanted to show the complete project in on go, it also on our face book page found here

The book is made from white card which has been embossed, the three pieces in each section go up in increments of one inch to get the star effect. I am happy to do a tutorial after Christmas if anyone wants one.
I used snow glitter and white card so hope it qualifies for the challenges.
